Tears Run Dry

Co-author

Born in Uganda in 1973 to Rwandese refugee Tutsi parents, Partrick Kalenzi began life in a world of segregation, violence, and poverty. Unable to return to the war-torn place of his family origin and plagued by discrimination in the place of his birth, he struggled to find safe ground. Kidnapping, military service, severe poverty . . . Tears Run Dry is the story of these hardships, but, more importantly, it is the story of overcoming them. Using a process of research, interviews, and editing of source materials, I worked with Patrick to share his story in his memoir debut.
